Nerdy Throwback...

So, hubby and I had a date ngiht last night, and since we didn't fancy it up (only went to see a movie), I wanted to keep it casual...By the way, we saw Contagion and it was sort of weird. It's about some weird disease that spreads through contact, but that's not what made it weird..I actually wanted to see the movie because of the story line. What made it weird was the fact that in the beginning and middle everything was so slowly to unroll, there was a lot of thoroughness about it, but in the end, it seemed as if everything was rushed. I'll bet that I'm not making much sense. I barely do...So, in the words of my hubby..."It seemed as if they ran out of time towards the end of the movie and were like 'let's just show the end result already'. I was quite disappointed with the ending.

Yesterday, hubby also made me dinner..mmmm yummy. He made spaghetti and turkey sausage balls...They were delish! I managed to snap a few pics of him but not the food....His fine looks distracted me and made me wobbly, so the pics of the food came out blurry...Ha!

Falling into Fall.......

So, it's that season again...the season for weari!ng warm sweaters, stylish boots, and tights! Fall is not my favorite season, but.....I love it because to me it's the best season for fashion!

My favorite print is leopard, but for some reason, I can't seem to pull it off during the summer. Maybe it's just me and my quirks. I am sort of an oddball. It just seems so much easier to wear a leopard print blouse or pants during the fall. It fits in with the season...Fall and leopard print-any animal print really..It's my thing...!

To the detriment of Michael, I went to Rite Aid a couple of nights ago, and purchased my nail colors for the fall! Usually, I space shopping for seasonal nail colors over a few weeks, but I was so excited that I couldn't help myself. I'm not one to really follow trends though, so I'm sure that I will be wearing a highlighter lemon nail color one of these fall days.

I used three of the fall colors-Sinful Color's Mercury Rising and Flirting Nails and Wet and Wild's Casting Call/Rose Sage for the following nail design......

Pink Hues

So, I know that I haven't written anything for a while, but I've got exciting news. Mike's home! He's been home for a week now, and it's been such an exciting busy week. With school projects, moving, homework, whisking Jr to and from daycare and Mike being home, my life resembles a whirlwind right now! I'm so excited about moving, though. I'll have my own office/closet space that I can decorate to my hearts desire! I can't wait! Mike also gets to finally have his man cave(garage). He's excited about that, also. Anywho, I took these pics a couple of days ago, but I wore this to run errands. Oh, also, the nails on each of my hands are two different colors because I couldn't decide which I liked best. I had bought several Sally Girl mini polishes for a buck each, and I couldn't choose between the two, so I wore them both!

Anniversary of 9/11

I'm sure that every American knows what this date means. It symbolizes tragedy and loss, but also a nation uniting together. Yesterday, my sister and I attended an art showing at the Bank of the Arts in New Bern.
On the walk back to the car, we passed a memorial service for the anniversary of 9/11. My heart goes out to all of those who lost family, friends, and loved ones and also to the military members who were directly affected by this tragedy.

This is the outfit I wore to the art viewing.
