A Bit Meshy

Today was super duper hot, so I decided to wear as little clothes as possible, but....I thrifted this blue basebally-jacket, and couldn't wait to wear it, so I pulled that over everything. Granted, it came off after an hour or two..it's so fucking hot outside. With the skirt, I was trying to do something similar to Rihanna's custom made denim skirt in her We Found Love video (god, I want every single piece she's wearing in that video)! Rihanna's skirt was from the Jeremy Scott Spring 2012 collection, but god knows I can't afford that, so I took a stab at creating my own.  It didn't come out exactly as I'd hoped, but I was pretty satisfied with it. I'll try again, soon, and hopefully it'll come out better. Of course, if you can afford designer wear, you can find Jeremy Scott's collection at Opening Ceremony or on his website Jeremy Scott .  I looooooooooooove him. I think he's my new favorite designer!!!!

I don't wanna fight anymore...

You know that point during your life, month, week...etc. when everything in your wardrobe just isn't cutting it anymore. Every single piece you've worn a thousand ways a thousand different times, and you just want to sit in the middle of them all and cry? Well, I reached that point yesterday(the day these pics were taken).  I'm so sick of seeing the same things in my wardrobe, and I'm sick of being creative with them. I just want to be able to wear something fresh and new, but alas..you have to have money for that, and that's a luxury I can't afford right now. 

So...I just got plumb mad and threw on some crap and cut some slits in some old stockings of mine....and, guess what? I sorta like the way it turned out. :) The neon tank just sorta gives a fresh feel to the look and brightens it up a lot!

Pajamas & Smiley Nails

Sooooo...I'd been wanting to do smiley face nails for forever, and I really don't know why it took me so long to do them as they're very simple to do. Before I had a chance to properly photograph them, I smudged them in class..ugh. #nailproblems  Haha. I thrifted these pajamas with every intention of not wearing them as intended. There is no way I could waste the fantastic paisley print of these things by wearing them to bed. No fucking way. And yeah, I'm sure by now you know that I looove, looove, looove these boots as I wear them every single darned day.

Little Denim Backpack

I've been practically living in this camouflage jacket. I sling it on over any outfit as an afterthought as I'm hitting the door, so it's cool that it goes with any and everything! Plus, a reader informed a couple days ago that camouflage is will be a major fall trend, and it will.Yes, I checked. No, I don't really care if it is or not, as I wear what I want when I want. Yet, I think it's cool to be on trend without really trying to be.

The backpack I thrifted for like $3 so, yeah, I'm happy about that. I plan to stud it around the top and bottom and the handles maybe. Hopefully, it'll look something like this one, except with pointy spikes instead of rounder ones. Eh..guess we'll see.

Concrete Jungles Where Dreams are Made Of

I feel like inside my country ass there is a city girl just aching to burst out-a New Yorker, to be more specific-and every time I wear this shirt, I have to struggle to keep her inside of me.  Funny thing is, I've never been there...ever. The hubs has promised to take me so I can thrift to my little heart's 'content, but he never keeps it. I mean even when we make the 8 hour road trip to see his parents in Jersey, we still somehow end up avoiding New York. Funny how that works! But, my anniversary was yesterday, so maybe, for a present... yeah, I'm really not the romantic type. A culmination of horrid boyfriends and cheesy movies sort of squashed that romantic seed in me before it could fully bloom. So maybe, just maybe, I can finally make it to that concrete jungle.

Cooky Flowers

(bow-diy, dress-thrifted, socks-dollar store, Nike's-thirfted)

I simply had to wear this dress before summer was over, as it's the perfect definition of summer in dress language...lol. I thrifted it (as usual), hacked off about two feet of its length, and studded the collar. Matched it with some beaten up Nike's to tone it down from girly to...well...me. :) 

Oh, yeah. My order from Studs and Spikes just arrived, and I had the best luck today to find the perfect weather beaten denim jacket(it's even the perfect shade, so I don't have to bleach it!), so I will be studding immediately after posting this! I'm hoping to get it to look like this one from The Ragged Priest by following the directions via BeautyCrush's tutorial here. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one!
